Each new year brings hope for new challenges and opportunities. We may look at 2021 and decide that this is the year to read more or to find ways to adventure more with our kids, even if it’s just in the backyard. This year, if you’re excited about trying new things in the kitchen, we’re here to help.

Mackenzie’s burger bowl recipe is a keto-friendly way to switch up your weekly menu and try something new. Making the burger bowls isn’t as difficult as it may seem at first. Like the recipe below outlines, you can prepare your ground beef (or turkey) like usual. The only difference is that before you cook the burgers, you form them around the bottom of the cups on a cupcake pan. Spreading the meat evenly around the bottoms of these ensures they’re evenly baked and that they won’t lose their shape in the oven. To bake, leave the meat on the bottoms of each cup, flip the pan meat side up on a cookie sheet and slide it carefully into your preheated oven.

The rest of the process is just preparing your burgers like normal! While your bowls bake, you can chop up your favorite toppings to add to the bowls when they come out.
