What do I need to do to prepare for my Pro Install appointment?
To prepare for your Pro Install appointment, make sure your home has permanent electricity and WiFi. Ahead of your appointment, you’ll also want to have the ADT+ app installed on your smart device and have your ADT+ account password available. If you purchased Google Nest products with your ADT system, you will need to download the Google Home app, too. You will also need to set up a Google account, if you do not already have one. ADT+ app: iOS | Android. Google Home app: iOS | Android.

Can I add on new devices to my home security system after Pro Install?
Yes! If you decide to purchase new devices for your ADT home security system after Pro Install you can add them to your existing system.
What is the difference between DIY and Pro Install?
DIY install is a self setup service that is easy and can be done without heavy-duty tools. With Pro Installation, one of our specialists will visit your home and work with you to customize a smart security system. We’ll install your security and smart home devices and ensure the system is working properly.
Who needs to be present for my Pro Install appointment?
If only non-Google devices are being installed, someone over the age of 18 must be present to let the ADT technician in, approve the equipment locations, and finalize the paperwork.
If Google devices are being installed, the Google Account Owner must be present to let the ADT Technician in, approve the equipment locations, and finalize the paperwork.
The ADT Technician will also show you how to use your security system. We recommend including others in your household who may want to learn.
What areas of the house do ADT technicians need access to during the Pro Install appointment?
During a Pro Install appointment, ADT technicians need access to the location where the equipment will be installed. This may include a garage or closet depending on system requirements and devices. Make sure to secure your pets away from the areas where the technician will be working.
What is ADT Pro Monitoring?
Pro Monitoring is a service offered by ADT as part of our comprehensive security offering to help give you peace of mind knowing your family, pets, home and/or small business are safe. ADT's professional monitoring is there for you, around the clock, every day because your safety deserves 24/7 protection.
