Wreaths are a staple of fall décor. However, if you want yours to look unique next to all of the orange and brown door decorations in your neighborhood, it takes a little extra effort.

Fortunately, wreaths are easy to make. All you need is a good foam wreath starter and a hot glue gun; the rest of the supplies are up to your creative desires. 2” ribbon is the perfect thickness to be able to cover the wreath well while still being flexible enough for the curves. While you’re picking out extra decorations for your wreath, don’t be afraid to go a little crazy! Florals especially can feel too large or gaudy in the store but may have the power to really make your wreath pop.

Choosing one word to commit to may seem daunting. If you can’t decide or have something specific in mind that your craft store isn’t stocking, check their shelves for individual letters instead. Once you paint them, they’ll all look like they belong together anyway. Be sure to use enough hot glue to secure everything down, then your wreath will be ready to hang proudly in no time.

We’d love to see what you create! When you’ve finished your wreath, share a photo and tag us using #SafeAtHome.
