Lily’s keychain is a great craft year-round; we never need a special excuse to shower everyone in our lives with gifts and love.

Making these keychains is a great kids’ activity. Not only is it a great creative exercise, but it’s a safe and simple activity that can hold even the most energetic child’s attention.

We know what you’re thinking: glitter?! In my house?! But Lily has thought of that too. Using mod podge with the glitter makes so much less of a mess; by painting on the mod podge before you layer on the first coat of glitter, you eliminate most of the mess from the start. Then afterward, you tamp down the glitter with another layer of mod podge so that even after making several glitter beads the glitter won’t go everywhere.

Your keychain can say whatever you want it to: you can remind your loved ones that they’re loved, that they’re beautiful or that you’re always there for them. Every time they pick up their keys, (which is probably every day) they’ll think of you.

This is a simple, cute craft that’s fun to make and so long-lasting. You’ll want to make a keychain for everyone you know. Once you have, post a picture in our Safe at Home Facebook Group! We’d love to see what you come up with.
