ADT Security - Product Specific Privacy Terms

In addition to the privacy terms contained in ADT’s Privacy Policy, the following product specific terms apply to the ADT products and services listed below:

Collection from Minors

What Information ADT Collects from Children:  ADT’s service allows parents or legal guardians (“Parent(s)”) to keep track of their children’s location on mobile devices that the Parent has added to their account. The service is intended to be used by children under the age of 13 only with significant Parental involvement and approval. If a Parent wishes to add a user under the age of 13 to the service, the Parent must first complete a Parental Consent Form and return it via mail or email. The Parental Consent Form can be found here.

Upon completion of the Parental Consent Form the user under the age of 13 will be able to participate in the service. The child’s personal information, including name, username, email, and location, may be shared with other users of the service and the child user will be permitted to contact, and be contacted by, other users through the service. The child’s information will not be shared publicly. ADT may collect, use, disclose, and store the child’s personal information as described in ADT’s Privacy Policy and in these terms. However, we do not use or share personal information collected from the accounts of children under 13 for marketing or advertising purposes or permit our third party partners to collect and use such information for advertising purposes.

The Parent may contact the ADT using the contact information provided in the “How to Contact Us” section in ADT’s Privacy Policy to submit a request for review and/or deletion any personal information that has been collected through ADT’s services from the child, or to withdraw permission for collection of any additional information from the child.
