What’s the best part about game day? The snacks. The best part of a party? The snacks. The best part of every event ever? You guessed it, the snacks. That’s why we wanted to share not one, but two snack recipes that are both perfect for game day, or any occasion really. Both of these recipes are a step up from game day food classics. A little more refined, if you will. We asked @kate_romanoff to put together two classic snack recipes with a twist of sophistication and we are so pleased with the results!

For your fancy pizza bagels, we recommend starting out with your favorite flavor of bagel, and if you’re really into this, get your bagels from a local bakery! A good quality bagel will get you so far. Next, top off the bagel with the classics; your favorite pizza sauce and shredded cheese. You can stick with good ol’ mozz or go for an Italian blend. Then comes the fun part, the toppings! Kate used sausage on hers, other great protein options include bacon, pepperoni or prosciutto plus your fav veggies. And of course, top with fresh arugula after baking for an elevated feel.

Kate uses pre-made crescent roll dough and classic cocktail wieners in her recipe, but kicked it up a notch by sprinkling everything bagel seasoning on the pastry right before she baked them. Another way to elevate this classic app is to use brie cheese in place of mozzarella. If you want to get fancy with the dipping sauce, we suggest stone ground mustard or even a fig jam. No matter how you make it, these piggies will be a hit!

What do you typically make for game day? What’s your go to party snack you bring to every get-together? We’d love for you to share your recipe on our Safe at Home Facebook Group
