FADE False Alarm Dispatch Elimination
At ADT, our goal is to help America's police, fire and emergency medical personnel by reducing false alarms that exhaust their services, and prevent them from doing their job. Our FADE initiative shows our support and appreciation for these heroes nationwide, and provides our customers with valuable information on how you can help reduce false alarms.
Join the FADE initiative today and show your support! You'll receive quarterly email reminders from ADT requesting current contact information – to help us contact you in an emergency and keep you and your family safe. And you'll receive additional false alarm prevention information as it becomes available.
Know Your System
Low battery voltage is one of the most common causes of accidental alarms. Do not continue to operate your system when it indicates a low battery.
Regularly check alarm contacts on doors and windows for damage or looseness.
Check that all doors and windows are locked and cannot be accidentally opened.
Check that motion detectors are aimed away from air vents, fireplaces, or windows.
Periodically test your alarm system as recommended in your operating manual.
