Features and Functions

• Weatherproof – Impact- and weather-resistant housing withstands the elements for outdoor placement. The grounded outlet faces down with the switch is properly mounted to be protected from rain and debris.
• Manual operation – A convenient ON/OFF button on the switch housing allows manual control of the connected device.
• Optional LED – An integrated LED indicator illuminates to show switch status and can be reversed, turned o or always on based on your indicator preferences.
• LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen – The smart switch is compatible with all types of light sources. Enjoy the full benefit of LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen lights.
• Range extender – The switch repeats your Z-Wave signal from your hub or other Z-Wave device to extend your range by up to 150ft. Extended signal range increases your home automation coverage to enhance your control.
• Connect to your Control or Pulse system via Z-Wave to turn the a light or device on/off 
  
• Within the Control or Pulse app, create rules to turn the switch on/off at set times, or when certain activity occurs, such as a door opening/closing or the system is armed/disarmed.

Control Portal

• To create a rule to control the status of the switch, such as turn on when the front door is opened or there is an alarm at the home
  1. Log into the Control portal
  2. Click Automations
  3. Click Rule
  4. Click Add Rule
  5. Select Event-triggered Rule
  6. Select the criteria for the rule, then click Save

• To create a schedule to set the status of the switch at specified times, such as turn on at sunset, or turn off at a certain time of day
  1. Log into the Control portal
  2. Click Automations
  3. Click Schedules
  4. Click Add a Schedule
  5. Select the criteria for the schedule, then click Save

PULSE

Pulse app

1. Tap the Switch tile on the dashboard, or tap the hamburger menu, then tap Lights and Switches
2. Tap to turn the switch on/off

Pulse Portal

• Quick Rules are a predetermined set of rules that can be turned on or off. To use Quick Rules to control your l.ight
  1. Log into the Pulse portal
  2. Click on Rules
  3. Click on Quick Rules
  4. Locate the desired rule and click the On/Off button to turn the rule on or off
     
     
• Automations can be used to create your own rules, to turn the switch on/off at certain times, or when certain events occur
  1. Log into the Pulse portal
  2. Click on Rules
  3. Click on Automations
  4. Click on Add Automation
  5. Select the criteria for the automation, then click Save

Installation and Setup

Congratulations on your new Jasco Outdoor Smart Switch

Follow the instructions below to install your switch, and link it to your Control or Pulse account.

1. Mount the Smart Switch on an exterior wall using the included mounting screws
2. Plug the Smart Switch into a GFCI protected outlet
3. Plug the device to be controlled into the Smart Switch

Control

1. Open your Control app
2. Tap the hamburger menu on the upper left
3. Tap Add Device
4. Tap Lighting and Appliance Control
5. Tap Other Device
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to link your device

Pulse

1. Open your Pulse app
2. Tap the Manage Devices tile. If you do not see the tile, tap the hamburger menu in the upper left. Tap Settings, the tap Manage Devices.
3. Tap Add
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to link your device
