- Cameras: requires Video Connect monitoring plan.
- Full security system: works best with the Pro-Protect monitoring plan, but Self-Protect is available if self-monitoring is preferred.
Some features require professional monitoring (e.g., emergency dispatch).
Can I buy devices individually, or do I need a base kit?
Most devices require a base kit to function and must be purchased alongside it. However, cameras can be purchased on their own or combined with other products to build a custom system. A monthly monitoring plan is also required, with plans starting at $9.99 per month.
What if I have existing smart products in the home where I'm installing ADT Blu?
ADT Blu works with:

- Z‑Wave smart home products (via ADT+ app integration)
You can add compatible devices anytime.
Google Nest Cams are not compatible with ADT Blu systems.
What if I move and I have an ADT Blu system?
If you move and have an ADT Blu system, you can pack it up and take it with you to your new home. Call us 30 days before moving to review options and get guidance.
