What is this product?
The ADT Smoke Detector is a device which monitors your house for the presence of smoke and/or head. If the detector identifies the presence of smoke and/or heat, the detector, Base, and other paired devices will sound. You also receive a notification from the ADT+ app. If you have Pro-Protect with ADT 24/7 professional monitoring, the ADT Monitoring Center will be notified of the alarm.
What are the key features?

The detector siren will sound along with a voice announcement when smoke and/or heat is detected, stating which alarm and the room where it is located (e.g., "Fire Living Room")
The LED will also blink if the detector is triggered
If the detector is triggered, the Base, Indoor Siren, and all other ADT detectors will also sound (if installed as part of the same system)
A convenient alarm test button helps keep you protected by making sure the siren is functioning properly
You also get a notification from the ADT+ app if the detector has been tampered with
How do I install it?
The Smoke Detector requires 3 CR123A batteries and is easy to mount using the included mounting bracket and screws. Visit our support article for step-by-step instructions.
What happens if my Wi-Fi or power goes down?
If your network is down or signal is interrupted, Smoke Alarm, Test Mode and Low Battery functions will still operate locally via an audible alert. Connected features like ADT+ app notifications require working internet/Wi-Fi.
