What is this product?
The Keychain Remote is a compact, wireless remote that provides on-the-go control of your home security system within 75 feet of range of your Base. Small enough to attach to your keyring, this smart remote allows you to arm or disarm your system and activate a panic alert without using the app or keypad. It’s great for quick access when entering or leaving your home and helps provide an extra layer of convenience. The Keychain Remote works by wirelessly communicating with your Base to control your security system. When you press a button, the remote sends a secure signal to the Base, which then carries out the command and updates your system status.

How do I set up my Keychain Remote?
Setting up your Keychain Remote is quick and easy using the ADT+ app. Simply add your remote as a device and follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing and test. The remote works right out of the box and requires no wiring or tools.
What if I lose my Keychain Remote?
If you lose your Keychain Remote, you can quickly deactivate it through the ADT+ app to prevent unauthorized use. Simply go to the “Devices” section, select the remote, and remove it from your system. This will immediately block any commands from that remote, including arming, disarming, or triggering panic alerts. You can also assign a new remote if needed.
Does the Keychain Remote integrate with smart home devices?
The Keychain Remote integrates with your smart home security system to trigger automations through preset system modes. For example, when you arm your system using the remote, you can set it to automatically lock doors with a smart lock. These automations are configurable in the ADT+ app.
What automations does it support?
The Keychain Remote supports smart home automations by triggering system modes at the push of a button. You can configure personalized routines in the ADT+ app.
What happens if my Wi-Fi or power goes down?
The Keychain Remote will continue to work even if your Wi-Fi goes down. It uses a secure wireless connection to communicate directly with your Base, not your home’s Wi-Fi network. As long as the base is powered and operating, either through its main power source or backup battery, the remote can still arm and disarm your system or trigger a panic alert. This helps to ensure reliable control of your security system even during internet outages.
If the power goes out, the Keychain Remote will still work normally. It is battery-powered and communicates wirelessly with your Base, which is equipped with a backup battery. This means you can continue to arm or disarm your system and send panic alerts during a power outage. As long as your Base is functioning, the remote remains fully operational.
