Where should I place the Live Light?
The Live Light can be placed directly on grass or soil with the provided stake/post or can be mounted on a wall with the included mounting hardware. Choose a location that is visible to first responders and neighbors, even when not lit up.
What makes the Live Light turn on automatically?
The Live Light connects to the Base using DECT ULE, the same protocol used by other ADT sensors and devices that connect to the Base. When connected, it can automatically illuminate during an alarm event.
Can I control the Live Light from the ADT+ app?
Yes, you can manually turn the sign on/off in the ADT+ app and access settings like the battery and connection status for the sign. You’ll also receive low battery alerts from the ADT+ app when batteries need to be replaced.
How is it powered?
The Live Light is battery-powered. It comes with 3x AA lithium batteries, and alkaline batteries are not recommended due to outdoor use.
Is it weather-resistant?
Yes, the Live Light is IP65 Rated for outdoor use. It can withstand rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.
Does the Live Light require Wi-Fi?
Not necessarily. The live light doesn’t need to be connected to wi-fi, it communicates to the Base via DECT ULE, but the Base does require Wi-Fi.
