ADT-Powered In-App Safety Tools Giving Dashers Help on Demand
DoorDash has partnered with ADT to create SafeDash suite of in-app safety tools that enable Dashers to discreetly call for help via voice or text message if things don’t go as planned.
SafeDash™ features include:
Safety Reassurance Call: If a Dasher feels unsafe, they can quickly connect with an ADT agent through the Dasher app. ADT will call the Dasher and remain on the phone and provide help as they need it. If the incident escalates, ADT will alert authorities with the Dasher’s latest known location.
Emergency Assistance Button: If a Dasher needs emergency assistance, they can silently summon help by swiping a button within the Dasher app. ADT will alert 911 on the Dasher’s behalf with critical details like last known location, and discreetly remain in contact with the Dasher via text message.
