1. How does Nest Mobile app and Nest Learning Thermostat® work with my ADT Service?

ADT's latest Pulse Mobile app allows Pulse customers with the Nest Learning Thermostat® to access to their Nest device remotely without having to login to separate mobile apps.

2. What will I need to sync my ADT Pulse Mobile app with the Nest Mobile app and Nest Thermostat?

To get started, you must already have the Nest Learning Thermostat® or you must purchase one directly from ADT by calling the residential or business sales number on our Contact ADT page. To sync both accounts, you must have the latest version of the Pulse Mobile app on your iOS or Android device. You will also need a Wi-Fi network that your Nest Thermostat® will use to connect to the Internet.

3. Where can I download the Nest Mobile app?

For iOS users, visit the iTunes App Store® to download the latest version now. 

For Android Users, visit Google Play® to download the latest version now.

4. How can I register my Nest Account?

If you don't have a Nest account, you can create one directly on the Nest app's login screen. You must have your Nest account activated first before syncing to the Pulse Mobile app.

5. What will I have to do after I downloaded the Nest Mobile app?

Once the Nest Mobile app is downloaded, you will have to sync the ADT Pulse Mobile app and the Nest Mobile app.

6. Will I have to use the same user name and password for the Nest app and Pulse Mobile app?

No, you do not need to have the same account name and password. However, you must be the owner of the Pulse account to add the Nest thermostat to your Pulse account; and, both accounts must be on the same mobile device.

7. Where do I add my Nest device to my Pulse Mobile app?

If you have the Nest app installed on your mobile device, the Pulse Mobile app automatically detects it and prompts you to add the device on the Mobile app Settings screen.

8. Where will I be able to view my Nest Thermostat in the Pulse Mobile app?

The Nest Thermostat will appear in the Thermostat category on the Pulse Mobile app. You can access the Thermostat category from the dashboard.

9. How do I add my Nest device from the Pulse web portal?

The Nest Thermostat can only be installed and viewed via the Pulse Mobile app. It can not be accessed via the web portal.

10. How do I add my Nest device to my Pulse automations and schedules?

The Nest Thermostat cannot be added to automations and schedules.

11. After I add my Nest device to my Pulse Mobile app, what can I control?

Once the Nest Thermostat is added to your Pulse account, from the Pulse Mobile app you will be able to: 

  • Set the mode: Auto/Cooling/Heating/Off
  • Control the temperature
  • Set the “Heat to” and “Cool to” temperatures
  • Control the fan speed: Auto/On/Off
  • Auto-Away
  • Auto-Schedule
