Customers must have ADT Pulse Control service level or higher in order for the Ring and Chime to connect with the Pulse mobile app. 

No, customers will not be able to connect Ring in the Pulse portal.

No, only customers with a single location monitored by ADT Pulse will have the ability to connect Pulse in the Ring app.

ADT customers with the ADT Master Account must do the initial set-up with the ADT install technician in order to connect Ring to Pulse. Once the initial set-up is complete, other individuals living in the same ADT monitored location can connect Ring to their Pulse app.

During a Ring call (triggered by motion or a doorbell press), you have the ability to make your home more secure using the Ring app. Customers can arm their security panel, lock their door locks and turn on their lights. Please note that turning on lights and locking doors will take action on all lights and locks.

Yes, your ADT alarm system will remotely arm using the Ring Mobile app even if a zone is not ready to be armed. Log into the Pulse mobile app or visit https://portal.adtpulse.com to confirm the readiness of all your alarm system zones. However, the ADT alarm system in your location will not disarm using the Ring app.

Follow the instructions below to sync Pulse with Ring:

  • Make sure to download both the Ring and the ADT Pulse app first
  • Open the Ring app
  • Click on the menu in the top left
  • Select Ring+
  • Select “Add a Partner”
  • Select ADT Pulse
  • Follow the flow in the mobile app to enter your Pulse credentials

 

Follow the instructions below to sync Ring to your downloaded Pulse app:

  • Make sure to download both the Ring and the ADT Pulse app first
  • Open the Pulse app
  • Go to Settings, scroll down to “Device Detected”
  • Click on “Connect Ring Doorbell”
  • Enter your Ring credentials to connect Ring in the Pulse app
  • Once Ring has been added, return to the Pulse app and login

At this time, if you have subscribed for Ring Video Storage, your Ring video clips will be accessible only within the Ring app. 

You can launch the Ring app from Pulse by clicking on a Ring history event. You can also launch the Ring app by clicking the “Go To Ring” button in the dashboard camera view and in the Camera details screen in the Ring app.

No, the Ring app will not work on the ADT Pulse Touchscreen.

Firmware is a software program embedded into your Ring device that keeps it functioning properly. It is regularly updated by Ring to improve the reliability and functionality of your device.
