    • People being forced into vehicles.
    • Strangers talking to children.

  • Reporting unusual activity to the proper authorities by:

    • Quickly calling 911 or another emergency number.
    • Explaining what happened; people being forced in to vehicles or strangers talking to children.
    • Giving their name and address.
    • Providing a description on the suspect's gender, race, age, height, weight, hair color, clothes and any distinguishing features.
    • Offering details on any vehicles involved, particularly the make, model, year, license plate and identifiable characteristics.

What it takes to make a Neighborhood Watch program Successful:

  • Frequent meetings that promote organization.
  • Dedicated volunteers that patrol regularly and report suspicious activity.
  • Fliers, newsletters and other communications that educate and inform.
