Sure Pass Hardware Components

The ADT Integrated PIV Solution workstation combines a Win XP Pro computer with accessories that support all required functionality for PIV enrollment and issuance including:

  • Contact and contactless RF PIV card reader.
  • 378-template fingerprint reader.
  • 10-print live scan-capture device and minutia template software.
  • 500dpi digital camera with flash, accessories and operating supplies.
  • PIV card role-based control of enrollment and issuance functions.
  • Breeder document scanners.
  • Credential printers (graphical and electrical personalization).

Sure Pass Software/Middleware

  • Sure Pass™ Card Management System (CMS): For managing the smart card and credential life cycle; supports four PIV roles.
  • Sure Pass™ PIV Card Applet: Fully compliant with the PIV data model, including mandatory and optional data objects.
  • Sure Pass™ ADT Card Applet: Supporting several logical access control applications, including Microsoft® Windows® login, secure Email (S/MIME) and browser (SSL).
  • Sure Pass™ Client Middleware: Supporting user authentication based on PIV Card Applet, allows logical access control using ADT Card Applet.
  • Sure Pass™ SDK: A set of high-level Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that may be used for the development of new smart card applications, including logical and physical access control integration.

Software deployed as a component of the Sure Pass™ platform seamlessly extends existing IT and security infrastructures to facilitate the issuance, administration and life cycle management of PIV cards.

Sure Pass Support

ADT currently operates five cross-redundant monitoring station call centers, routinely handling over six million government, business and residential customer calls each year on a 7x24x365 basis. ADT maintains one of the only redundant facilities compliant with the Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/9 Physical Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF's).
